Jill is a Certified Dementia Practitioner who brings over 30 years of experience working with seniors and their families to Navamaze. Jill started her career after graduating from Mt. Mary University with a Business degree with a focus on Gerontology. She first worked as the Marketing and Activities Director at a small women-owned business that had four homes which were converted into community-based care homes for seniors. From there, Jill fell in love with the concept of having care, compassion, socialization, and security under one roof for seniors that otherwise would be alone or in a nursing home.
Jill worked for a nation-wide senior living company in a variety of roles including
Executive Director, Memory Care and Life Enrichment Specialist, and Regional Director of Sales and Marketing.
As a Certified Dementia Practitioner, one of Jill’s business ventures was opening a Montessori based Adult Day Center that groups individuals based on their cognitive abilities and provides a secure environment throughout the day along with meaningful programming.
Jill also is a support group facilitator for the Alzheimer’s Association and has also facilitated Mild Cognitive Impairment and Caregiver Support Groups. She is a recent graduate of Leadership Sarasota Class of 2024. She is the proud mother of two boys in their twenties, Zach and Riley. When Jill is not working, she is most likely cheering on Riley at Special Olympics games.
